What is hypnosis?
Let's define hypnosis as utilizing trance states to enhance people's imaginations. Through artful suggestion, we can enhance the power of your imagination to the degree that your body responds as if the suggestion was real.
Can I be hypnotized?
Every day, you naturally enter trance states. Can you enter trance states when we sit down together? Naturally and easily. All I ask is that you be willing to play along with your imagination. I can't do anything for you without your help.
How can I tell when I'm hypnotized?
Would you be surprised to learn you regularly enter hypnotic states, even daily? It's true. People often go into a trance while driving, watching tv, or even reading a book. Because trance is normal and familiar, you will feel comfortable as we explore it together. As I lead you through the stages of trance by degrees, it can be difficult to detect any difference while it is happening. However, my clients report after coming out of trance how amazing, relaxed, or energized they feel, depending on what we worked on in session.
Is hypnosis mind-control?
Only you control your mind. I can offer suggestions to you; however, it is entirely up to you if you want to accept them, even in the deepest levels of trance. Besides, the subconscious is always looking out for you, even when your attention is elsewhere. Has your hand ever recoiled after touching something hot? Has your body ever abruptly righted itself after tipping too far back in a chair? The subconscious protects you, and will do so even in your sleep. The secret to my success is that, because your subconscious is so protective of you, we help it create wonders in your life, making positive change wherever we go.
When will I see results?
It depends. After a single session, some people overcome their issue, and most people see significant improvement. Some issues are more deep-seated, ingrained, or complex. These might take several sessions to heal the various facets, and it is done much more quickly than other types of therapy.
